If we have high cholesterol, can we use coconut milk?
Yes, you can but please limit its intake to 2-3 times a week. Coconut in its raw form is extremely nutritious, and an excellent source of good/unsaturated fat. However, when we cook coconut or its milk, it turns into saturated fat, increasing the cholesterol within our bodies. Therefore, make sure to add coconut towards the end of your cooking, after turning off the flame. To understand how to do this, refer to the recipes on our YouTube channel, as well as our recipe books.
We also recommend consulting your medical doctor regarding the same, as Satvic movement is not qualified to guide on medical queries.
