I get severe acidity/gas/headache if I eat early dinner. What can I do?

To understand the answer to this question, first, you must understand what is acidity.

When we keep eating throughout the day, and our stomach keeps digesting food 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, never getting a chance to rest, it hampers its functioning. And so, it starts releasing acids (digestive juices) even when it's not supposed to, that is, even when there is no food to be digested in the stomach. These acids create a feeling of discomfort, which we commonly term as 'gas' or 'acidity'.

Having an early dinner will be extremely beneficial for you if you are suffering from acidity. It might be difficult in the beginning. But after 2-3 days, the stomach will regain its natural functioning. By the 3rd or 4th day, you will stop feeling the discomfort. If you never give your stomach a rest, your stomach's natural functioning will never be restored, and acidity will never be reversed.

However, for the initial few days when you experience acidity, you can try consuming one of the following, to ease the discomfort :

Always remember, any change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous in the end 🙂
