I do intense physical activity every day. Which plant based sources of protein can I include?
Those doing intense physical activity do need sufficient protein (building block) for their bodies, as their muscles go through lots of wear and tear during the day.
There are many plant-based sources of protein such as :
- Sprouts of different legumes (of moong, masoor, matki, chickpeas). A great option is to have a sprout salad in the mornings.
- Cooked lentils/daals along with meals
- Soaked nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc) in the morning and evening as snack
- Seeds (chia, sunflower, melon, quinoa) sprinkled on top of salads and smoothies
- High protein vegetables such as broccoli, green peas and spinach
